Members can attend symposia, meetings and training courses arranged by CAEAL and receive publications. CAEAL also offers group rates for the Open Bidding System.
The CAEAL Bylaw states that all members will be bound by the CAEAL Code of Ethics.
CAEAL offers two types of membership to reflect the needs of different industry segments: voting and non-voting.

| Institutional | May be held by a corporation, a department or ministry of the federal or provincial government, a municipality, a university, or any other recognized organization. A corporation includes its wholly and majority owned subsidiaries. A Crown corporation or independent government agency is deemed to be a corporation. | $400.00 |
| Individual | May be held by any person | $ 45.00 |
| Non-Voting |

| Associate | may be held by an individual, association or an organization | $ 35.00 |
| Student | may be held by any person enrolled in a full time program in a recognized college or university. | $ 15.00 |
