Much of the cost of member training is dedicated to paying for the facilities used to deliver courses. Our first year of operation showed that costs to members can be reduced by 30% to 50%, if we are able to use CAEAL-member facilities.

Do you have such a facility?

Technical training is delivered to a maximum of 20 participants and non-technical training is delivered to a maximum of 40 participants. If you have a facility that can be used to deliver either of these types of sessions, then we want to hear from you!!!

What are the benefits to the hosting member?

CAEAL members gain:

The saving of travel costs of participants from the hosting organisation.
The saving of 10% or more on the registration costs of the training for every participant from the member organisation.
The increased visibility of member's commitment to the goals and objectives of CAEAL.

What does this cost the hosting member?

If a member elects to host a training session, CAEAL will ask that they provide the following:

A training room with the capacity required to deliver the selected training (36 square feet of space per participant, in classroom or round table setup)
LCD projector and screen, (all courses three days or longer require an overhead projector as well)
One flipchart per table/group of four/five
Coffee prior to the start of each training day (8:00 am)
Morning and afternoon refreshment breaks
Soup and sandwich lunch for all participants (during full-day training only)

Are there any limitations?

CAEAL Training Services delivers training at member sites only when the training is open to all CAEAL members or to the public. This is to prevent any real and/or perceived conflicts of interest with the delivery of other CAEAL services provided to CAEAL members.

What are the options for a hosting member?

All options have a minimum number of registered participants. For Option 3, the hosting organisation is required to have registered at least ten participants prior to the commitment to deliver training.

Note that under Option 3, CAEAL Training Services can deliver training under contract to member (and non-member) organisations. The contracting organisation is expected to fill the minimum number of seats from within their own organisation, or from, other organisations that they may identify as needing the same training.
